Mr. Trash accepts a really rather broad definition of trash cinema, despite our obvious preference for Eurohorror and Eurosmut and especially Eurohorrorsmut (i.e., damn near anything by Joe D'Amato). Still, there is always room for misguided American studio trash, and accordingly I am absolutely beside myself with glee that DVDActive reports this week that MGM is re-releasing their piece of shit classic Mannequin on a double feature with the alarmingly terrible Mannequin 2: On the Move! Worry not, these will make the DVD review section over at Mr. Trash Presents as soon as it is released in mid April, so that we can all relive the sugar-coated Hollywood version of a 14-year-old boy's sickest and most deeply misogynistic sexual fantasy, replete with over-the-top homophobic stereotypes and loads of implied fetishism. It's sick! It's stupid! And Mr. Trash can't wait! Friday, February 1, 2008
